The Under-17 group takes center stage on Friday ahead of the 2018 Super Y League North American Finals, as both the Girls and Boys groups are revealed. Calvert Elite SC leads the way on the Girls' end, with the Mid-Atlantic B side boasting a perfect 8-0-0 record during the regular season.
On the Boys' side, Atlanta Fire United PSG comes out of the South Atlantic Division holding an unbeaten record (7-0-1) of its own in 2018 after not conceding any goals across league play.
Four groups -- Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D -- will feature four clubs each in the U16-17 Boys tournament during the SYL Finals in Bradenton, Florida, from Dec. 7-11. Meanwhile, there will be three groups – Group A, Group B and Group C – comprised of four teams each for the U16-17 Girls competition.
Group play will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, while the semifinals kick off on Monday. The finals will cap off the five-day format on Tuesday.
Teams will compete against each team once during group play. There will be five game slots each day: 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET. Competing in the North American Finals is another great opportunity to be scouted by the USL Scouting Network for a chance to participate in the USL Experience.
