Alpharetta Ambush's Garcia, DDYSC's Painter among featured

The Super Y League continues to boast a plethora of elite talent across its various Boys' and Girls' age groups, and over 10,500 players involved in the current campaign.

In our Five Player Friday series, we take a look at five athletes who have shone with their clubs during the 2018 season and have been recognized by the USL Scouting Network as some of the league's top talents.

This week, we take a closer look at five more players that have put together superb seasons with their respective clubs.

Here are the featured players for the 10th edition on Oct. 26, 2018.

FIVE PLAYER FRIDAY - OCT. 26, 2018

ANGEL GARCIA

ALPHARETTA AMBUSH SC U11 BOYS

Record: 7-1-0, 21 pts - 1st in South Atlantic Division
Goals scored: 14
Summary: On a team that has scored 51 goals in 2018 it may be difficult to pinpoint one player, however, Garcia has had a phenomenal season in guiding Alpharetta Ambush to a 7-1-0 campaign. Garcia has tallied 14 goals in eight matches, while adding six assists for the U11 Boys side.

AUGUST PAINTER

DDYSC WOLVES U12 BOYS

Record: 7-0-2, 23 pts - 1st in South Atlantic A Division
Goals scored: 9
Summary: Not only does Painter lead DDYSC in goal, but he has also set the same example in the assists category in 2018 for the unbeaten side. 

AVA LAFOLLETTE

CENTRAL ILLINOIS ELITE U11 GIRLS

Record: 6-2-0, 18 pts - 2nd in Midwest A Division
Goals scored: 8
Summary: LaFollette leads her team in assists this season, with three, as Central Illinois Elite continues its path towards SYL Finals in December.

SAMANTHA DEGUZMAN

NORTHERN VIRGINIA SC U14 GIRLS

Record: 5-1-0, 15 pts - 2nd in Mid-Atlantic A Division
Goals scored: 7
Summary: DeGuzman has been a consistent force in the Northern Virginia attack this season, posting seven goals and four assists for the East Coast club.

MIGUEL RODRIGUEZ-ESCUTIA

ATLANTA FIRE UNITED PSG U17 BOYS

Record: 7-0-1, 22 pts - 1st in South Atlantic Division
Goals scored: 6
Summary: Rodriguez-Escutia ranks second in both goals and assists this season for his Atlanta Fire side, helping the club boast one of the best attacks in the South Atlantic Division.
