Teams can request up to six players from Sep. 10 through Nov. 2

Ahead of the 2018 Super Y League Finals, invited teams have the ability to request players from the 2018 Guest Player Pool to join them in Bradenton, Florida.

Teams participating in the 2018 SYL Finals will be able to request up to six players from the pool from Monday, Sep. 10, through Friday, Nov. 2. Players who have registered for the Guest Player Pool will be notified via email when they are requested by a team. The players will then be put in touch with the requesting club, with each party needing to submit confirmation to the SYL league office once the agreement is finalized.

“The Guest Player Pool is one of the most unique functions of our biggest event of the year,” said SYL Co-Directors Christian Velasquez and Jordan Rouse in a statement. “The key objective of the SYL Finals - in addition to teams competing for the 10 national titles available across all age groups - is to help identify and scout some of the nation’s best young athletes. The Guest Player Pool allows high-level talent another avenue to compete on a national stage by linking up with participating teams. This gives them the opportunity to display their individual skills to collegiate, professional and national team scouts, regardless of club performance.”

Players will be able to continue registering for the Guest Player Pool until the roster freeze on Nov. 3, and teams can continue to request players as they are added. Players will continue to use the same player pass with their new team that they used with their original team during the regular season.

A total of 120 teams will participate in the 2018 SYL Finals at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, from Dec. 7-11. Group play will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the semifinals on Monday and finals on Tuesday.
