TAMPA, Fla. — The 2018 Super Y League Finals, set to take place this Dec. 7-11, will feature 120 teams from across the nation. While teams compete for their spots, the allocated bids for each division have been unveiled.
Players and clubs will gather at IMG Academy for the ultimate event of the Super Y League’s 20th Anniversary Season, including those from the league’s new Southwest Division for the first time. Attended by collegiate, U.S. Soccer and USL scouts, players will have an opportunity to impress and earn an invitation to the 2019 USL Experience, which will be hosted by a to-be-announced USL club next spring.
“The SYL Finals are a keystone event for our league and is one of the unique features it provides for players to earn exposure on a national scale,” said SYL Director Christian Velasquez. “It’s always exciting to see the mix of clubs from across the country compete against one another. Whether it’s a long-time regular such as DDYSC Wolves, or a first-year newcomer like City FC’s U12 Boys in 2017, each team and every player enters on equal footing with an opportunity to prove themselves against the best the SYL has to offer.”
Here’s a breakdown of the bids allocated for the divisions for each age group for Boys and Girls.
