USLX Recap: Day One
Players took part in photoshoots, interviews, stadium tours and more
Thursday morning marked the beginning of the 2018 USL Experience, as 72 boys and girls began arriving in Phoenix, Arizona, for a three-day professional event, hosted by the USL's Phoenix Rising FC.
After receiving their new USL Experience gear from Capelli Sport, the young Super Y League stars took to the buses that brought them to Phoenix Rising FC Soccer Complex. After receiving opening remarks from Phoenix Rising FC players and staff, as well as USL staff, the athletes broke up into their four teams and began their rotations into the four stationed events.
The players embarked on a stadium tour around the facility, including the Phoenix Rising FC lockers of stars such as Didier Drogba. They also took part in a professional photoshoot, press-style interviews, played two-on-two small-sided matches and created goal celebration GIFs.
