NY HOTA Bavarian SC Joins SYL as North Atlantic Member

New member becomes eighth club to join division for 2018

TAMPA, Fla. - On the heels of several recent announcements of new member clubs in the Super Y League’s North Atlantic Division, NY HOTA Bavarian SC has been revealed as the eighth club to join the division ahead of the 2018 SYL season.

“The North Atlantic Division, which has always had a strong presence in the populous New York metropolitan area, continues to grow with the addition of NY HOTA Bavarian SC,” said Dominic Colarusso, the USL’s Associate of Business Development. “The international presence of the club, spanning several continents and countries, lends a great wealth of experience in the development of talented young athletes that we believe will greatly benefit those competing in the SYL.”

With its origins tracing back to 1922 in Throggs Neck in the Bronx, NY HOTA Bavarian SC exists to develop, enhance and promote the skills and abilities of talented young soccer players through quality training by quality coaches. In addition to the club’s emphasis on technical development, it aims to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, respect for others and loyalty to the club and its members. Drawing from 20 sister clubs around the world, NY HOTA Bavarian SC players hail from over 30 countries worldwide.

“We are very excited about competing in the Super Y League and having a chance to compete for a national championship,” said Dan Fisher, NY HOTA Bavarian SC Director of Coaching. “Having an all-year program will allow us to consistently be competitive in every age group. We take the chance to compete in the Super Y League very seriously and look forward to expanding our player identification programs. We hope to maintain the integrity that NY HOTA has had since 1922 and continue to develop players for the collegiate level, and hopefully beyond.”

NY HOTA Bavarian SC joins seven previously announced new members for the North Atlantic Division, including Jersey United SCManhattan SCPrinceton Soccer AssociationBrooklyn City F.C.Istria SCUnion SC and Valencia CF Academy NY.

A part of United Soccer Leagues, LLC, which also operates the Division II USL, the new third-division league and Premier Development League, the Super Y League features a summer platform with an annual North American Championship in December.
