League officials to follow on previously announced expansion, meet with groups from Jan. 29-31

After the Super Y League previously announced upcoming expansion into Southern California, league officials will be following up with a visit to the region to meet prospective groups in the region from Jan. 29-31.

Executives from one of the largest youth soccer organizations in North America will visit the SoCal region, as part of its ongoing efforts to grow the league’s national footprint.

“Southern California has many clubs who are seeking to remain leaders in their communities and for their members,” said USL Director of Business Development Joel Nash. “The Super Y League is eager to give those clubs a national league, custom built to best serve the goals and needs of its member clubs. The region is already a leader in the youth game, both in the development of players and in the competitiveness of its clubs on and off the field, so we’re excited to get out there and solidify the league’s presence.”

“Our agenda will involve a group meeting with some leading clubs where we’ll find the best platform to support and bolster the visions and goals of each club,” Nash continued. “We’ll also be forging more relationships with clubs who are seeking to learn more about the league and its vision.”

As part of the SYL’s growth in the SoCal region, the league has entered a collaborative partnership with respected local news site Soccer Nation for coverage of the league and its member clubs in the region. To stay up-to-date on the latest Super Y League news in Southern California, follow Soccer Nation on Twitter and Facebook or visit www.soccernation.com.

“We’re excited to work with Soccer Nation to help educate and inform people in the region about the Super Y League, so look out for more information through their platforms,” said Nash. “With its parent group Soccer Loco serving as a backbone, you have a respected and experienced group that brings a collaborative approach to all that they do. Their club relationships and cultural knowledge are something we appreciate and believe give the SYL a respectable position in the region.”

Stay tuned for further news from the SoCal region and follow the Super Y League on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for regular updates.

A part of United Soccer Leagues, LLC, which also operates the Division II USL, the new third-division league and Premier Development League, the Super Y League features a summer platform with an annual North American Championship in December.
