Super Y League teams who have been invited to the 2017 North American Finals are now able to request players from the 2017 Guest Player Pool to join them in Bradenton, Florida.
The SYL Finals-participating teams are able to start requesting players as of Monday, September 25. Teams will be able to select a maximum of six players from the pool, and selected players will be notified via email if a team has decided to request them. The players will then be put in contact with the requesting club and both parties will need to send confirmation to the League office once the request is accepted.
“We are excited to be able to provide another pathway for Super Y League players to attend the North American Finals,” SYL Director Christian Velasquez said. “We hope to enable as many players as possible to join us for what will surely be another fantastic Finals experience in Bradenton, Florida.”
Guest Player Pool registration will remain open until the November 3rd roster freeze, during which time teams can continue to request players as they are added. Players will continue to use the same player pass they used with their original team during the regular season while playing with their new team.
A total of 120 teams will take part in the SYL Finals from Dec. 8-12 at IMG Academy in Bradenton. Group play will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, while the semifinals kick off on Monday. The finals will cap off the five-day format on Tuesday.
