TAMPA, Fla. – More than 2,000 Super Y League players participated in the 2016 SYL North American Finals in Bradenton, Florida, from Dec. 9-13, and a number of those players turned heads all tournament long.
Based on SYL coach, college coach and staff evaluations, 22 total players among the five age groups – U12, U13, U14, U16 and U18 – were selected for SYL North American Top Performers honors. Players who performed at a high level throughout the tournament were selected based off their overall performance in their respective age group.
Alexis Santa, who scored a hat trick in the U18 Boys Tournament Championship for Met Oval, is among the players receiving Top Performers honors. FCV Annandale Elite's Keira Shoup and Midwest United FC's Ally Francisco, who both attended the inaugural USL Experience, hosted by FC Cincinnati, were also named.
