Decision taken as a precautionary measure with the health of Super Y players, coaches, staff of paramount importance

Prioritizing the protection of the health of players, coaches and staff, the Super Y League announced today that the 2020 USL Experience has been canceled due to the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19. The Super Y League has been closely monitoring all advisories and updates from the Centers for Disease Control and local health authorities, and as such has made the decision to cancel the event as a precautionary measure.

The USL Experience is one of the most unique events in American soccer, and one of the most important in the Super Y League calendar. Due to the importance of an event like USL Experience in showcasing the Super Y League’s top talent, the league intends to hold player identification events in future years.

The Super Y League would like to recognize the exceptional talent of the players who were invited to this year’s event. These players represent the top young talents in the Super Y League, all of whom have bright futures as soccer players. Due to the numerous factors surrounding the USL Experience selection process, players who were invited to the 2020 event will not automatically be invited to the next edition of the event, but a player’s status as a 2020 selection will be taken into consideration during any future selection process.

More information on the player identification process for future USL Experience events will be announced when made available.
