See which teams are aiming for their second straight title

Winning a national championship is obviously great, but winning back-to-back titles? That’s an accomplishment reserved for truly dominant clubs, and three teams at this year’s Super Y League Finals will have the chance to hoist the trophy for the second straight season. Will any of these talented squads capture glory again?

Indiana Elite U16/17 Boys
They didn’t always do it the easy way, but Indiana Elite got the job done in the U15 Division last year, winning all five of their games en route to being crowned champions. Their tournament opener was a thrilling 5-4 win over Michigan Rush, and their next match was another high-scoring affair which they won 4-2 over FC Sesa. The Elite then squeezed past DDYSC Wolves 3-2 in the semifinal, and their top-notch offense scored another three goals in the final to win it all.
FRAM U19 Boys
After heavily beating Real Maryland FC 6-2 in their Finals opener last year, FRAM were tested and held to a 1-1 draw against Union SC. To FRAM’s credit, the team then rallied around its stingy defense, allowing just one goal in its next three matches to earn the U16/17 boys national title. FRAM cruised to 3-0 and 3-1 victories in the semifinal and final. Returning this year in the competition’s oldest age group, this is the only chance for this group of players to win for a second time.
Internationals SC U14 Girls
In the U13 age group last year, Internationals SC were flat out dominant. They didn’t allow a single goal until the final, winning their group stage matches 5-0, 3-0, and 7-0. They shut out Atlanta United Fire in the semifinal, and were finally given a challenge by Nationals in the championship game. However, the offense poured in four more goals to bring their tournament total to 21 in just five games. Internationals walked out with the trophy, a feat they’ll hope to repeat in the U14 division this year.
