The Legacy Series gets its first edition with a breakdown on youth soccer in America

Youth soccer participation in America has been on a steady rise for the better part of the last two decades. With more men & women playing on prominent clubs overseas, and the US Women’s program continuing to dominate on the global stage, more and more attention is being given to Americans in soccer across the world.

But all of that starts somewhere, and it certainly does not happen overnight, it starts with you, it starts with youth.

With over 500 teams and countless players across the nation, Super Y League is in a constant state of growth with young stars at the forefront of their development gaining the chance to start their legacy. But why is right now the best time to play youth soccer in the US?

With a World Cup in America just around the corner, the game in the states is growing faster than ever. There have never been more opportunities for domestic professional soccer than in 2019, between USL Championship, USL League One, Major League Soccer, and the National Women’s Soccer League. Pair that with the recent success of the youth national sides and you have a winning combination for the future of soccer in America.

Beyond opportunities on the field, youth soccer can serve as an incredible catalyst for unique experiences across the globe. Recently, Chicago Soccer Academy standout & two-time USL Experience alum Brooke Kala was selected to spend a week in France to train and learn alongside top prospects and Olympique Lyonnais Academy coaches. In the last two years, Lagos Kunga has gone from a USL Experience participant to a USL Championship player, on loan from Atlanta United.

Youth soccer will only continue to grow in the coming years with more opportunities arising all across the nation.
