One of the most important additions to this year’s USLX came through the introduction of Playermaker. Through Playermaker, players were outfitted with tracking devices on their boots that were utilized to analyze highly accurate data. The data provided by Playermaker added a wealth of insight into each players’ match performance through the tracking of important stats such as pass completion percentage, foot use percentage, tackles one, time on ball, etc. Like professionals, USLX players now have the opportunity to analyze their abilities with quantifiable data and pinpoint specific areas that need improvement.

At the heart of Playermaker’s solution is a small yet advanced motion sensor. Designed to strap comfortably on the player's footwear, the sensor can optimally sense and classify each foot and ball interaction and each footstep. Acting as an extension of the player’s foot, the ergonomically designed strap transfers all foot movement directly to the motion sensor. The analyses and insights provided by the Playermaker solution are based on innovative artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. Playermaker software provides real-time feedback derived from the footwear motion sensors.

Along with Playermaker, Veo provided a unique addition to USLX that had not been utilized in events past. Through its advanced AI technology, Veo cameras were set up for USLX matches, autonomously capturing the entire field & following the track of the ball while in play. Veo’s presence at USL Experience gave attendees the opportunity for to help focus on and analyze their individual performance while having a tactical overview of the team’s positioning in all areas of the field. Players & families from USLX will be able to access Veo game film, download entire games, and create highlight clips all from a user-friendly interface.
