Super Y League Finals Kick Off With Big Results

Teams start asserting themselves on the opening day of finals

BRADENTON, Fla. – The Super Y League Finals kicked off on Friday, with games all day, and plenty of action across the age groups.

The U12 Boys sees Group A tightly contested, with only Sunrise United SC managing a win, with a 3-2 victory, in a fight for second is Chicago Inferno and Tri-State Elite who fought out a 3-3 draw. Group B is a similar story with only ACYS Spirit United recording a win, a 2-0 win while Chicago Soccer and Atlanta Fire Bayern Munich fought out a scoreless draw. Group C is topped by Chicago Inferno 1 after a 2-0 win, while City FC are only one goal behind, winning 2-1.

In the U12 Girls Group A is deadlocked at the top with both Oklahoma Energy FC and Chicago SA recording 2-0 wins. Northern Virginia has a commanding lead in Group B following a 4-0 win over Chicago City SC with AFC Lightning and Washington Spirit VA 1 fighting for second after their 2-2 draw. Group C is also tied at the top with Arlington SA just ahead, after a 3-1 win, closely followed by Nationals 2 which won 2-0.

Continuing the trend of a tight contest in Group A, the U13 Boys have a tight race in Group A with Evolution SC recording a 3-1 win closely followed by National Soccer Academy which won 2-0. Group B has DDYSC with a huge lead, having won 5-2 with Chicago Inferno in second, having won 2-0. Group C is led by Nationals 1 which won 3-0 with Atlanta Fire Borussia Dortmund managing a 1-0 win. Indiana Elite FC leads Group D following a 4-2 win, with Arlington Soccer 2-1 winners in second place.

There is one clear leader in the U13 Girls with only Chicago City SC scoring a goal in the opening day of play, a 3-0 win. Liverpool FC IA Redknapp asserted its dominance on Group B with a 5-1 win putting it two points clear with Palm Beach Gardens and Northern Virginia SC playing to a 2-2 draw. Internationals SC was the dominant side in the U13 Girls, opening Group C with a 7-0 win, behind them is Atlanta Fire Borussia Dortmund which won 2-0.

One dominant display in the U14 Boys Group A with Alpharetta Ambush running out 7-0 winners, sitting well clear after Liverpool FC IA Fowler and Ironbound SC fought out a 1-1 draw. There were two big wins in Group B with Barcelona USA MD winning 6-0 and Shorline FC winning 4-0. FC Wichita leads Group C winning its opening match 3-1 with Kalamazoo Kingdom one goal behind, winning 2-1. Group D is led by Atlanta Fire Manchester United which won 2-1 with Braden River SC and Barca USA MD Red in second following a scoreless draw.

In the U14 Girls Group A is led by Arlington SA following a 2-0 win with Nationals following close behind after their 1-0 win. NJ Elite holds a big lead in Group B after an 8-1 win with Evolution SC and FC Virginia playing out a 2-2 draw. Another seven goal win sees Oklahoma Energy FC top Group C following a 7-0 win with Braden River SC the other winners on the day with a 2-0 win.

It’s all very tight at the top of the U16 Boys with Westchester Flames 2 topping the group after a 2-1 win while Miami Lakes and Nationals are close behind following a 1-1 draw. Two teams emerged as favorites in Group B with Port Washington topping the group following a 7-0 win with Chicago Inferno 2 in second after a 4-0. Indiana Elite FC opened up a lead at the top of Group C with a 5-2 win, with Ironbound SC Red in second after a 2-1 win. Shoreline FC tops Group D, the only team which scored goals, following a 2-0 win.

There were two seven goal wins in the U16 Girls Group A with Chicago SA winning 8-1 and Chantilly YA winning 7-0. Nationals Canada leads Group B following a 3-0 opening victory with Midwest UFC also ending out victorious 1-0. Group C is tied with both Nationals and Central Ill. Elite winning their matches 2-1, setting up a thrilling match tomorrow.

The U18 Boys is phenomenally tight, with no team winning a match in Group A, tomorrows matches will be phenomenally important to the shape of this tournament. Ironbound SC tops Group B after a 4-0 win with National SA in second place following a 2-0 win.

The U18 Girls group has Oklahoma Energy FC as the favorite following its 8-1 win in the opening match, with Sunrise United in second following a 2-0 win.
