120 teams set to kick off in Florida during December

TAMPA, Fla. – A total of 120 teams are set to compete for 10 separate trophies at the 2017 Super Y League North American Finals in Bradenton, Florida, from Dec. 8-12, as the official schedule was revealed on Tuesday.

Teams at each age level (Under-12, U13, U14, U16 and U18) have been placed into groups of four to compete, with group play taking place during five game slots on Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET. The semifinals will be held on Monday, while the finals kick off on Tuesday.

Players who turn heads at the North American Finals have an opportunity to be selected to attend the 2018 USL Experience, hosted by the United Soccer League’s Phoenix Rising FC. The league’s new Scouting Network, set to debut during December’s event, will evaluate and identify high-level players eligible to be named to the one-of-a-kind experience.

Rising FC, which was established in 2013 and competes in the Western Conference of the USL, is the highest-level professional soccer club in Arizona. Former Chelsea F.C. and Ivory Coast international striker Didier Drogba, LA Dodgers pitcher Brandon McCarthy, Kona Grill CEO Berke Bakay and an impressive collection of business leaders and international celebrities – including Diplo and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz – own the USL club.
