Super Y League / Chicago Inferno's U12s improved to 3-0-0 at the SYL Finals on Sunday
BRADENTON, Fla. – Chicago Inferno’s U12 Boys posted five goals for a second time during the group stage, defeating National Soccer Academy 5-0 on Sunday at the 2016 Super Y League North American Finals at IMG Academy.
Max Ibarra led the way with a brace, while Samuel Sanchez, Adrian Graffin Joel Chavez each contributed a tally to win Group B and advance to the knockout round stage of the tournament.
Leading 2-0 through the first half, Chicago broke the match open after the break. Graffin sent his free kick over the NSA wall and inside the left post for a 3-0 cushion, while Chavez followed with a stellar long-distance strike to make it 4-0.
Ibarra had the game’s opening and closing goals, the latter on his own rebound after his initial attempt caromed off of the crossbar.
