Chicago City Soccer Club and Force Football Club Academy have revealed major partnerships ahead of the 2016 Super Y League season.

Chicago City announced an agreement with Global Premier Soccer and German Bundesliga side FC Bayern Munich, while Force FC revealed a partnership with English Premier League club Liverpool FC.

As a Youth partner of Bayern Munich, Chicago City will hold a talent ID event this summer before Bayern Munich’s friendly match against AC Milan at Soldier Field on July 27. An FC Bayern ID Program will begin this fall to identify top-level youth prospects in the Chicago area.

“Partnering with FCB and running the FCB neutral club Elite ID Program, we hope more players from in and around the city look to take advantage of the USL Super Y opportunities," Chicago City Executive Director Nick Mulvaney said.

"We already have players from eight of our friendly clubs in the the area involved in Super Y this summer which is fantastic. Partnering with like-minded clubs who understand the bigger picture for their players is a joy to see and something we are very proud to be part of. Due to our positive relationships with these clubs we are excited to grow the number of teams in Super Y but also increase the level of our teams."

Force FC revealed more than just a partnership in April, as the club will begin competing as Liverpool FC International Academy - Michigan this fall.

"All of our Super Y teams will become Liverpool FC International Academy - Michigan for the summer of 2017," Liverpool Super Y Academy Director Daniel Price said. "Most of our current players play fall, spring, winter and summer with the club, so the development of the players will continue year-round and into the Super Y League in the summer. Becoming a Liverpool FC International Academy also allows us to attract new players to the Super Y arm of our club, which will only benefit our Super Y teams, their quality on the field in summer and on the national stage at the North American Finals in December.

"Historically, the development of our players has been consistent with the philosophy of Liverpool FC Academy. The coaching history of our owner, Andrew Wagstaff, includes a spell at the Liverpool Academy in England, and he has brought those ideas and ways of development with him here to the club. We believe we have a very player-centered approach to development. Our environment consists of promoting early technical ability and creativity from our players and encouraging them to express themselves in both training and games. We make sure our players understand that mistakes happen, it’s part of learning, but in order to develop they must try to transfer what they have learned in training to game situations."
